Cockfighting, commonly known as Sabong, is a controversial blood sport that involves roosters, or “cocks” (Grand Peco and Peco peco), engaging in combat within a designated arena called a cockpit. In Sabong, there are two sides of the corner where the cocks are positioned before the official fight commences, known as the Meron and the Wala.

Betting plays a significant role in Sabong, making it an integral part of the experience. Players have the opportunity to place bets on either the Meron or Wala side, indicating which rooster they believe will emerge victorious. The bets can be made using the in-game currency, such as zeny or coins, adding an element of risk and excitement to the proceedings. The betting process often involves NPCs who facilitate the wagers, setting odds and managing the transactions.

Spectators and participants gather around the cockpit to witness the intense battle between these formidable birds. The atmosphere is filled with anticipation as the crowd eagerly awaits the clash of the cocks.

As the roosters engage in combat, the tension rises, and the crowd becomes engrossed in the battle. Every move, strike, and counterstrike is met with cheers and reactions from the spectators. The outcome of the fight determines which side, Meron or Wala, will claim victory and secure the bets placed on them.
